lyrics
And if I put it out there
I know you'd take my heart away
But would you ask me to stay?
Or would you just fade away
The fish, they scatter
When the droplet hits the water
They're not scared by state of matter
But of the ripples that it brought here
From the tears I can't afford to shed
I've been living in my head
Now we're swimming upstream
Living in a rough dream
Would you run, would you believe me?
Or think I give it up too freely?
Now we're swimming upstream
Living in a rough dream
Joined by nothing but a feeling
When words have got me reeling
If I wrote it down now
Would you ask to erase your name?
Would you see it's still the same?
Just hung in a lovelier frame
The birds, they whisper
On a telephone wire
Cause when the breeze begins to blister
They can't fly any higher
Now we're swimming upstream
Living in a rough dream
Would you run, would you believe me?
Or think I give it up too freely?
Now we're swimming upstream
Living in a rough dream
Joined by nothing but a feeling
When words have got me reeling

I listened to a lot of Steve Lawson's music before buying any. So easy to play in the background while browsing on the iPad. So many moods and good to hear it coming as played live. He gets a lot from a bass and its in HD flac. It was time to catch up on buying... Alan Hall

WTF? How was this not in my Bandcamp collection. I must've bought it from a different account before! Anyway, I've been listening to this since before it was released and a decade on it's still a spectacularly perfect collection of songs. Sounds like a greatest hits album. Literally any track could be chosen as my 'favourite'. Truly astonishing. Steve Lawson
