and he may not know this but I always remembered the capitol of Chile on all of my tests in elementary school because I always thought of his name
I still remember how he stood in line behind me for everything like graduation from the fifth grade
he writes me songs to make me smile cause I never listened to Wack white's warning about how you should never date a singer cause they'll tell the whole world, cause I’d tell the whole world myself anyway
and he would understand that last reference I made
cause we are so in sync, because we like all of the same things

it’s been around since I don’t know when
you were more of the jumprope kind
if you had to, you would wait in line
a blue ribbon winner and only a beginner

race me down to the track for fun,
but hurry because the relay’s begun
we’ll end the day with a volleyball game
and when it’s over, we’ll walk away in shame
we never thought of growing older then
